    • MESSERER Henri

      Henry Messerer was born in 1838 in Marseille. He studied in Strasbourg and Marseille (piano, organ, harmony, counterpoint and fugue). He had a rich career covering different areas of music. He was organist, score editor, professor of harmony, director of the Municipal Conservatory of Music and composer. Messerer was owner of the beautiful Cavaillé-Coll of Saint-Charles in Marseille for fiftyyears. He died in October 5, 1923.
