These three etudes show different aspects of my organ compositions. Their individual structures, their contrasts, and their common components combine to form a triptych reminiscent, in terms of form, of the baroque concerto.
The first one sets up a dialogue between a fairly rapid and wide-ranging basso ostinato, and a series of harmonic modules, sometimes plain, sometimes accompanied by lines of counterpoint.
The second one, linear in form, slow, tries to find a set of tones that throw into relief sound clusters moving imperceptibly.
The third one implements a long series of extremely short chords in a fast tempo. A few breathing points, repeats of the linear elements in the second etude, interrupt the discourse.
