This work is the transcription of AVE MARIA for a cappella 4 equal voices (Delatour France Publisher, DLT1402).
The original version dates from the 1960s when the composer was the organist of the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre, Paris.
The excellent men's Quartet who animated the Liturgy and the special atmosphere of the Basilica, inspired this motet. In this adaptation, the ethereal harmonies of the accompaniment support the melody's flowing lines inspired by the Gregorian style, on the soprano voice.
