"Christus factus est" is an organ composition who's built entirely on the Gregorian Repons the same name that the literary textextracted from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians (2, 8-9): "Christ has done for we obedient unto death, death on a cross. Therefore God exalted him and gave him the name that surpasses any name." This work was used by Gradual for the Holy Thursday Mass before Vatican II, andsung on Palm Sundaytoday.

The musical text is declaimed by the soprano, likemanychorals of the Orgelbüchlein: from time to time with values lying melismas developed, harmonies attempt to express the text. The atmosphere is tense in the first part, with full happyness in the second.
