This song from a collection by Léon Simon à Biron (Ciney) dates back to the 19th Century (1890). The castle in question is without doubt the medieval castle of Beaufort near Huy in Belgium. I have harmonised this beautiful melody between a modal and tonal way, in a simple and straightforward manner for an amateur choir.
