FIDEMRAIZER Sergio

Fidemraizer, Sergio (b. 1958, Rosario). Argentinean composer, now resident in Spain, of mostly chamber works that have been performed in the Americas, Asia and Europe.

Mr. Fidemraizer studied analysis and composition with Dante Grela at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, with whom he also studied contemporary composition. In addition, he studied orchestral conducting with Mario Benzecry and had private studies in analysis and contemporary techniques with Francisco Kröpfl in Buenos Aires.

In Spain, he studied analysis and techniques of contemporary and electroacoustic music with Gabriel Brncic at the Studio Phonos of the Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where he also studied computer music with Xavier Serra. There he also attended the Conservatorio de Badalona in Barcelona, where he earned various teaching degrees. He has received commissions from numerous organizations, ensembles, orchestras and soloists.

His music has been performed in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, France, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Spain, and the USA.

Nowadays he combines his composition work with teaching at the Department of Education of the Catalan Government. He’s a member of the Catalan Association of Composers. He has lived in Spain since 1986.
