Composer and musicologist, Jean-Paul HOLSTEIN has been studying with MESSIÆN and JOLIVET at the National Superior Conservatory of Music in Paris and with DUFOURCQ at the University Paris-Sorbonne. Analysiss and Counterpoints Professor in the same school from 1972 to 2005, he has been director of several conservatories of music in Paris. He is the writer of 185 musical works and musicological and teaching books. He is judicial expert for the music next to the courts.
