KULISEV-CLAIRE Olga

In 1963 Skopje (Macedonia), her home town, was destroyed by an earthquake. A scholarship enabled her to come to Paris and continue her studies in Russian literature and art history at the Sorbonne. She also worked as a guide-interpreter. She travelled extensively throughout Europe, Japan, Siberia, the Sahara, Iran and India.

Visiting beautiful cities and great museums enriched her cultural experience.

She assisted the Russian dissident painter Yuri Yarki, organized exhibitions and in 1990 she herself started to paint.

She has exhibited a great deal: in Moscow at the "Doctors’ Club", in St Petersburg at the Dostoyevski Museum, at the Florence Biennale, in Beijing, and in Paris within "Art en Capital"at the Grand Palais. As has always been her habit, she notes all kinds of thoughts on pieces of paper. She adds words to her visual expression.
