LAJUDIE Jean-Marc

Jean Marc Lajudie started out as a musician playing the drums and the accordion. He studied with Pierre Jean Leymarie and Roger Generaux, Kenny Clarke and Dante Agostini. After having written many books for learners which have been published in many different countries, he was given the responsibility of the teaching and learning branch of pearl drums, France. He organises many workshops all over France.

In 1971, he created the Centre Lajudie centre with is son Emmanuel, this centre has become a prestigious and nationally renowned academy. As a talented and acclaimed musician, he has often toured or played for the likes of Marc Ogeret, Marcel Azzola, Juliette Greco, Raymond Lefevre's grand orchestra.

He is the drummer for many internationally renowed jazz ensembles and the is regularly invited to appear on radio and television, as well as doing a lot of work for films, documentaries and advertising. In 1981 he started the drum trio Patatra Drums with whom he has given many concerts and master classes.
