Piotr Moss, a PolishFrench composer, was born on 13 May 1949 in Bydgoszcz (Poland). He studied composition with Professor Piotr Perkowski at the Higher School of Music in Warsaw (currently the Chopin Academy of Music) and graduated with honors in 1972. He also studied with Grayna Bacewicz and Krzysztof Penderecki. I
n 1976-77 as a French government scholar, he furthered his compositional expertise with the famous Nadia Boulanger in Paris. He is the laureate of over 40 awards won in many international competitions for composers.
Piotr Moss musical oeuvre is prolific and varied. In addition to his many symphonic and chamber works, Moss writes music for the theater and movies, radio and television, opera and ballet.
