PRUDHOMME Régis

Régis Prudhomme teaches double bass at the Cachan C.R.D. (Val de Bièvre) where he is in charge of the improvisation working group and orchestras. He studied music (double bass, piano, theory) at the Boulogne-Billancourt C.N.R. and received a first prize for double bass in Daniel Marillier’s class.

He has taught musical theory and double bass at the E.N.M. of Orsay and musical analysis at Evry University. Major orchestras call on him with regularity. He also performs in chamber ensembles.

As a member of La Compagnie du Chapeau qui grince, a poetical and musical circus, he performs all over Europe. He recently directed double bass masterclasses in China (X’ian and Shen-Zen) and took part in several chamber music concerts combining European and traditional musical influences. Finally, together with his artist and teacher career, he devotes himself to arrangements and orchestration for performers as well as professional musician groups, amateurs or young orchestras.
