WOLFF Félicien

Felicien Wolff is a French composer and organist, born in July 1913 in Elbeuf near Rouen in Normandy. He is the brother of the biologist and academician Stephen Wolff.

He was from 1930 to 1934 student at the Paris Conservatoire in the class of Paul Dukas (composition), Marcel Dupré (organ), and Maurice Emmanuel (music history). Around 1950 he was appointed professor of piano at the music school of Grenoble (future CNR), under the direction of Erik Paul Stekel who urges to engage in the composition.

The entirety of his work is published in Éditions Delatour France. He iwas organist of the Cathedral Saint-André in until He died on February 16 2012.
