About author : GHARACHEH Sanam

Sanam Gharacheh, violoncellist and composer, was born in 1978 in Tehran, Iran. After having finished her education  at the Tehran Conservatory, she left Tehran for France in 1998 to continue her studies. Presently she teaches cello at the "Conservatoire de Gentilly".

She is very active, both as a soloist and a member of chamber music groups in Iran and Europe. She is a members of the Tehran Contemporary Music Group and she was the soloist in seven albums of the Iranian Orchestra for New Music. Sanam Gharacheh has studied composition under the guidance of Alireza Mashayekhi.

Her work consists of compositions in different fields, including pieces for orchestra, solo cello and percussion, solo cello, piano, string quartet.
