BOHN Ernest-Guillaume

Ernest Bohn was born in Strasbourg in 1914. He discovered the organ at Obernai’s Teacher Training School. Appointed at Schirmeck, he directed the parish choir and founded a choir school. He was revealed to the Cecilian sphere at a composition competition. He settled back in Strasbourg and became the titular organist of Saint Louis de la Robertsau’s Church. With President Mgr. P. Kirchhoffer he went through the difficult times of the past-Vatican II years when he was Vice-President then General Secretary of the Union Sainte Cécile.
