IMBERT Jean-Paul

Dividing his time between concerts, church services and teaching, Jean-Paul Imbert has always given great importance to a colourful and lively presentation of the organ, thanks to imaginative and orchestral-like registrations. He has a predilection for modern instruments offering a wide range of sounds and an infinite number of combinations. The organ at Alpe d’Huez, of which Jean-Paul Imbert is the Title Organist, is a good example : even with a reduced number of stops, each one has it’s own beautiful solo personality while harmoniously combining with all others.

A fervent player of Bach and the Romantic School, Jean-Paul Imbert enjoys enriching his repertoire with transcriptions and doesn’t hesitate to adapt well-known and less well-known symphonic and lyrical pieces for the organ.
