After graduating from National Taiwan Normal University, Liao Lin-Ni continued contemporary music composition studies with Yoshihisa Taïra, Allain Gaussin and Philippe Leroux. She has received awards from the Composition Competition for percussions ensembles in France, the Valentino Bucchi International Competition and the Vittoria Caffa Righetti Competition in Italy and she was selected by Radio France in 2009 as ISCM Young Composers (8e Forum la jeune création musicale), IRCAM ManiFeste Festival (2012/2013) in France.
Her works have been broadcasted on Radio France for France Musique’s different programs as the International Music Council of UNESCO, Electromania and Electrain de Nuit… Liao’s music have been programmed by the Taipei Music Forum Percussion Ensemble, Ensemble Cairn, Ensemble Proxima Centauri, Ensemble Multilatérale, Ensemble L’instant donné, Quatuor de Saxophone Osmose, Ensemble Arsenal, Taipei Contemporary Chamber Orchestra, New York East Coast Contemporary Ensemble and several percussionists of Ensemble Intercontemporain and Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris at la Cité de la Musique, Centre Pompidou, Musée du Quai Branly and festivals Extension of La Muse en Circuit in Paris, Césaré in Reims, Why Note in Dijon, Asian Composers League (ACL) etc.
After publishing several articles and a book on La pensée musicale d’Edith Lejet (Musical Thinking of Edith Lejet) concerning pedagogy and musical analysis, Liao is currently Permanent Researcher at the University Paris-Sorbonne (IReMus-MINT), she is also piano and musical theory pedagogist and programmer of the contemporary music concerts – TPMC (Tout Pour la Musique Contemporaine) in Paris. /p>
