Helga Schauerte-Maubouet is titular organist at the German Protestant Church in Paris. Impassioned by Jehan Alain’s music, she left made her native country to come and settle in France, in order to deepen her musicological research. A concert organist, she recorded Jehan Alain’s complete organ works and published a critical edition of his music. In recognition of her contribution and her commitment to French music, the Federal Republic of Germany awarded her the Order of Merit and the French Cultural Minister awarded her the distinction of Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters.
