The harpsichordist, organist, violinist and musicologist Thierry Mathis was born in Strasbourg, France. He began his musical career as a violin soloist. He is now currently a concert harpsichordist. Thierry Mathis studied Musicology, Music and Art History. He has a PhD in Musicology from the University of Strasbourg, France and is researcher at the Laboratoire d'Excellence GREAM.
