Like a troubadour of our time, the bassoon "sings his feelings" in this villanelle in three parts. The first part, consisting in a small walk, is a smart dialogue between two instruments. The second part, "Andante cantabile" brings a nostalgic note with its soft melody worthy of a message of "polite love". Ternary rhythms and staccato are in favour in the third part, which evokes a heroic ride, tinted with warriors emphasize.
