This Tribute to Debussy is a request from my friend pianist Michele Innocenti, for a concert given on the occasion of 100 years of the death of Claude Debussy (1862-1918) in autumn 2018, Montmorency. The idea came to me for this tribute to resume the theme of the famous Moonlight from the Suite Bergamasque published in 1905, because it is surely the most popular piece of this composer. The first six notes are exposed from the beginning to the piano, and will be developed during the piece. The harmonic universe is deliberately close to the Debussy style, without, however, taking exactly these turns.
