« Striage of Light » or « Streaks of light » results from a commission by Philippe Bary for the music festival in Conques. The three pieces evoke the stained-glass windows imagined by Soulages for the Abbey, creating a very particular light under its vaults, all in streaks. Each piece derives an influence from the musical and spiritual substance of Bach's chorales, metaphorically uniting light and Christ at different times of the day. We are thus lead to imagine three moments in a penitent's meditation when breaking his journey at Compostelle, the great place of pilgrimage.
