This work was written within a few days, just after the death of a very close friend of the composer, in June 2007. This friend was a passionate lover of Mahler's music, so the words sung at the entry of the chorus in Mahler's 2nd Symphony "Resurrection" came immediately th the mind of Gerard Hilpipre, crystallizing in that 3-parts chorus for women-voices, both farewell and consolation.
