The school of Jerez is especially important, inasmuch as it is the only one to have preserved intact a chain of oral transmission over the course of more than a century, passing on the tradition from teacher to pupil or within certain gipsy families.
In this book are presented a collection of the best falsetas, (Alegrías, Bulerías, Fandangos, Soleá, Soleá por Bu- lería, Tientos and Tangos) of four guitarists who are especially representative of this tradition: Perico el del Lunar, Manuel Morao, Paco Cepero and Parilla de Jerez. The CDs contain their own, original performances.
