Danses-Métamorphoses is a commission of the Breton organist Eric Cordé. This piece is designed to be accessible to a wide audience, like other of my works, while also being interesting for the musicians. Elements of dance evoking popular music of today are developed and transformed over the score. The composers, in the past, are often inspired by popular music of their time, like Johannes Brahms with his Hungarian Dances.
