If Irish music is incredibly spirited and immediately touches people’s hearts, it is because of its simplicity, its beautiful melodies, the formidable energy of its rhythms, combined with a clear sense of harmony. In this piece I didn’t want to simply imitate but rather evoke an atmosphere which would cast light on my somewhat idealized internal vision of Ireland.
