The Cahier de Maître Guillaume is an overview of our research on French Renaissance's dances and music for dancing. It has been made as a supplement of Thoinot Arbeau's reference book Orchésographie. It includes the original notation of the superius from almost all the Orchésographie's dances (recorded in the Compagnie Maitre Guillaume's two first CDs), with their choreographic structures and extracts from the original text.
This Cahier is a memo about this repertoire, made both for dancers and musicians.
An article by Carles Mas i Garcia « Pour une lecture dans le texte original... » about musical interpretation completes this book.
Cie Maitre Guillaume broadcasts its research by creating shows, organizing public balls, teaching, and also by recording discs and publishing books.
