In this trio, the titles of the movements are evocative: Summer -- A tear has passed -- In the sign of Gemini. One could say that D.V. Fumet doesn't renounce the inherent characteristics of French music, but always searches to go beyond a simple musical statement. His obsession for instrumental colors tends to make his music a totality both tangible and literary; we find the same approach in illustrious colleagues such as Couperin (Les Leçons des Ténèbres), Berlioz (La Symphonie Fantastique) or Debussy (Afternoon of a Faun), to cite only the most famous examples.
