In 1999, François Leleux asked me to orchestrate Pasculli's "Concerto on the motives of La Favorite". He suggested that I use a very transparent formation (strings, two oboes and two horns), in order to preserve the sparkle of the piece. This version was premiered with François Leleux and the Jean-François Paillard Chamber Orchestra during a tour in Japan.
