Written in 2003/2004 for the WESTENFELDER organ of the church of Membre, a small village in the Belgian Ardennes, these pieces constitute an extraordinarily coherent cycle and display the characteristics of the Italian sound of the instrument. Although the luxuriant ripieno is ignored by this composer of sober tastes, the Cornet treble and divided stops are often featured, but used in a non-traditional manner.
