Chaconne sur le nom de Silbermann was composed during the year 1992, in the remembrance of the well-known organ builder Silbermann and to celebrate the 20th birthday of the restoration in the reformed parish church St. Jean's of Mulhouse by the organ builder Alfred Kern.

The melody of the theme "Silbermann"is conceived according to the english musical marking. The theme is evolving during the piece through a progressive rythm and a crescendo. The stops indications are inspired about the composition of a french baroc organ, conceived by Silbermann.

Composed during the year 2007, the « Cantilène » is a monothématique piece structured on 3 parts A-B-A.
