The register of the different parts of my St. John’s Passion has been adapted to the new organ of Angoulême Cathedral. It is possible to play the different pieces which make up my Passion, opus 57 (spoken voice and organ version), separately during concerts, auditions, masses, or else to play the ensemble of the pieces, alternating with readings from the Passion. The advantage of this method is that it allows for the text to be read in any chosen language, as the music is independent of it. In such circumstances, the reading of the text should occur at the places that are indicated in the score.
