The 5 pieces for piano duets were written as a birthday gift to my son Sebastian in 1999. The music is designed to involve two performers equally, which is often not the case for duets where one part is written for the teacher and the other for the student.
The writing is close to a neo-classical style with a continuous exchange of melodies and motives between the two parts requiring constant attention from the performers. T
he duets are of a medium level of difficulty suited to a pianist having studied for eight years or more.
