Wilhelm Kramer was a Musician and Teacher in the late 18th century. One of the first pieces he composed (op. 19) was for piano 6 hands (he also composed a quadrille for piano 6 hands).
This lively polka is punctuated by a melodic trio who let the delicate chime of the imaginary glockenspiel ring out.
The transcription for piano 4 hands gives more people the opportunity to perform this charming and sparkling ballroom piece for pianists and audiences to enjoy.
