On the territory of Saint Etienne de Puycorbier, in the Double (Périgord), the hamlet of Colombat lurks in the woods, among oaks and marsh. Described by Eugène LE ROY, who was a humanist novelist of the nineteenth century, this shelter for elves and salamanders is conducive to poetic ramblings. It is favorable to revisiting Occitan folk songs and to the reminiscences of a peasant past that crops up whenever walking in the undergrowth. Whether familiar (Ulysses is a cat!), or committed ("Turlututu" is a folk song that is still fresh in the minds of Périgourdins – the local inhabitants) this suite for piano 4 hands is the evocation of this land.
