Raphaël Fumet inherited a talent for improvisation from his father that bordered on genius. He was able to improvise in ail styles, and with an abundance of ideas that amazed ail those who knew him. With the invention of the tape recorder it was possible to record his playing, albeit rarely. There remain these five improvisations, recently discovered, and recorded without his knowledge during the 1950s. They were given to Thibault Perrine and Thibault Lepris, who accepted to transcribe them for scores. Ienisseï and Nikita Ramie did the same for the second improvisation, with the same skill.
