During December 1838 in Vienna, Robert Schumann signs with the Arabesk one of his rare independent works and not forming part of a cycle. The Arabesk, in C Major, is a charming rondo with two verses. The indication of movement Leicht and zart (light and tender) defines in wonder the character of the refrain.
