The title is explicit : "My exercises" rather than "exercises". Indeed, I have not tried to make a piano method, there are so many of them, and authors much more qualified than me (I should mention from the same publisher quite a remarkable book that I very often consult : TREATY OF PIANO TECHNIQUE AND PEDAGOGY by Louis-Noel Belaubre).
I just wanted to compose the exercises that I could not find anywhere and that were useful to me before practising a particular work. Some may seem confusing and of unusual harmonic style. Furthermore there is no master plan or progression. This working method is not the worst.
I do not see the point of working two hours on the octaves or thirds in a harmonic language worthy of Theodore DUBOIS ! with the physiological danger it represents. Instead, varying the technical problems enabled me to progress while avoiding muscle fatigue and weariness.
