The Andante Cantabile evokes the transformation of a chrysalis into a butterfly thus permitting the interpreter to open up and feel the expressive musicality of each phrase. This also teaches the student to position the hands in such a way as to master the learning of tones, and half tones. Bow markings and fingerings are players choice. The piano accompaniment is easy. Interpretation and technique together permit the player to overcome difficulties, and to progress. Thus he can share his « feeling » in a agreeable musical instant.
