The viola is a formidable instrument. Through its history, its repertoire and even its acoustics, it has followed a singular path, different from that of the violin or the cello, from which it is as close as it is distinct.
This history proceeds from a logic, a series of cause-and-effect relationships that constitute, in my opinion, a veritable philosophy of the viola. By devoting myself to making violas, I've been able to research, innovate, make mistakes, and adopt a dynamic and joyful vision of my craft. It is this vision that I wish to share with readers, whether they be craftsmen, musicians or music lovers, in the hope that, like me, they will find it a source of reflection and pleasure.
