RUGET Nathalie

With a doctorate in musicology, Nathalie Ruget defended her doctoral thesis in 2007 (Paris Sorbonne), entitled "Le retentissement des mots dans les œuvres électroacoustiques de Luciano Berio, Bruno Maderna, Luigi Nono et le concept de résonance sémantique", under the supervision of Professor Marc Battier. She was a research associate at the Université Paris-Sorbonne and taught music history at the City of Paris. Her research focuses on the relationship between writing and society in Europe after 1945, and on the links between music and literature, music and the sacred, particularly in the 20th century. Fascinated by the idea of transmission (written, oral), she is currently working on the function or "repercussion" of language in literary or poetic texts used in musical composition. A graduate of the CNSMD (Paris) in cello, chamber music and pedagogy, she is also a cellist and teacher at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rouen.
