TAILLEUX Philippe

Philippe TAILLEUX is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, teacher and director of a Conservatoire and a Centre de Formation des Enseignants de la Danse et de la Musique (CEFEDEM de Normandie). He was also Director of Pedagogical and Artistic Action at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rouen until his retirement in March 2020. Parallel to his artistic training, studies in psychology and psychomotricity led him to teach the psychophysiology of hearing at the University of Rouen, and to develop musical projects with multihandicapped, autistic and sensory-deficient children. His practice has led him to explore different aspects of the musical universe: numerous concerts and over ten years of creative work with the Nouvel Ensemble Contemporain, of which he was a founding member, a catalog of works ranging from solo pieces to chamber music ensembles and orchestras, specialist articles on artistic education, musical pedagogy and the relationship between music and disability... Co-founder of "Samedis du Possible", artistic practice workshops for able-bodied and disabled people, he takes part in various training courses and is deeply involved in the "Culture à l'Hôpital" program at the Charles Nicolle Hospital in Rouen.
