TOUCHARD Fabien

Composer and pianist Fabien Touchard studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he won 9 prizes (writing, composition, orchestration, analysis, improvisation and vocal accompaniment classes), and at Paris-IV Sorbonne University, where he obtained a Master's degree in musicology. Laureate composer of the Charles Oulmont Foundation in 2018, the Banque Populaire Foundation in 2014 and the Franz Josef Reinl Foundation of Vienna/Münich in 2013, his works have been performed in France, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Japan... Also a laureate of the Académie des Beaux-Arts (Institut de France), he was awarded the 2019 André Caplet prize for musical composition. Recently, his CD "Beauté de ce monde", the first monograph of his works, won a clef d'or de l'année from ResMusica magazine, a coup de cœur (five stars) from Classica magazine, as well as the Prix des Professeurs du Grand Prix Lycéen des Compositeurs 2020. His second monographic CD, "Littoral", will be released in September 2021. He taught harmony and keyboard harmonization at the Université Paris-Sorbonne before being appointed professor of composition at the C.R.R. de Boulogne-Billancourt, then vocal conductor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris.

In 2019, Fabien Touchard is appointed professor of counterpoint at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
