DALMONTE Rossana

Rossana Dalmonte’s academic career began at Bologna University in 1972, as assistant to the chair of  “History of Music”, then as professor of the discipline “Forms of music and poetry”. From 1987 to 2008 she has been full professor of “Musicology” at Trento University. In 1997 she founded in Bologna the Istituto Liszt, provided with a Library and an Archives open for public study and research. She is responsible for the publications of the Istituto: Quaderni dell’Istituto Liszt (16 volumes), Rarità Lisztiane  (together with The Liszt Society, 5 volumes). Her principal fields of interest are Philology (Schubert, Rossini),  Theory and analysis The rules of music),  History of music (The Madrigal, Liszt, Maderna Berio).
