Saxophonist and composer Sam Sadigursky has performed and recorded with the Mingus Orchestra, ECM recording artist Anat Fort, pianist Brad Mehldau, Grammy-nominated Darcy James Argue's Secret Society, bassist Ray Brown, and Colombian singer Lucia Pulido. He appears on numerous recordings for labels such as Fresh Sound/New Talent, EMI, Playscape Recordings, Chonta Records, and World Culture Music and has released three critically acclaimed albums as a leader for New Amsterdam Records, a label dedicated to new music from adventurous young composers and performers.

Comfortable in many styles of music, including jazz, classical, and world musics, he has played the Monterey Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, the Newport Jazz Festival, the Moers Festival (Germany), Lowell Folk Festival, London Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Wangaratta Jazz Festival (Australia).

A prolific composer as well as clarinetist and flutist, he has also published two books of original clarinet etudes and has received composition grants from ASCAP, Chamber Music America, and the Jerome Foundation.
