DI BARTOLO Florent

Florent Di Bartolo is an artist and lecturer in digital arts and technologies at Gustave Eiffel University's Literatures, Savoirs et Arts (LISAA) laboratory. Her research focuses on the history and aesthetics of works associated with the emergence and evolution of the Internet. It examines the forms of access and visibility that contemporary artists give to the data collected by social web platforms, and questions the relationships that weave themselves between art and computer programming within emerging artistic practices. His artistic work mainly takes the form of interactive installations and audiovisual performances based on the analysis of large-scale data sets, and offering the opportunity to experience phenomena that take place over long periods of time, such as melting ice (La Grande Accélération, 2022) and solar cycles (The 25th Cycle, 2021).
