Aurélie Allain holds a doctorate in musicology from the Université de Rouen Normandie, written under the supervision of Professor Pierre Albert Castanet on La Musique et la ritualité funéraire au XXe siècle. After working as a musicologist at the Cité de la Musique (Paris), then as an editor at Ensemble 2e2m (Champigny-sur-Marne), she is now in charge of the library at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rouen. She is the author of several articles on Henri Tomasi, Iannis Xenakis and Henri Dutilleux.
