O Sacrum Convivium was written in 2015 for the 35th International Music Festival of Auvers-sur-Oise, where a concert by the Choir of Children of the Maîtrise de Notre-Dame de Paris took place in May. I was then guest composer of the Festival. The Latin text set to music was written by Saint Thomas Aquinas. He honors the Blessed Sacrament. The music is really designed for children: bouncy, happy and light, they loved it. The piece is dedicated to Emilie Fleury, choir director of the Children’s Choir of Notre-Dame de Paris.
