In the early '80's, while tonally harmonizing the whole-tone scale (in opposition to Debussy's modal solution), the composer discovered a singular tonal harmonic configuration* out of which De Sibilla was born, followed by many other works. BAC"H"'s name, fortuitously superimposable on this harmony, determined the choice of the dark atmosphere of B flat minor. The latin text is from Virgil's Eclogue IV.
