"Jaïza" is a short piece written for oboe and piano. The section for oboe has been written for students with at least one year's experience with the instrument. The section for piano should be dedicated to a teacher or a piano student at a more advanced level. This piece evokes the universe of “jazz”, using certain inseparable components of this musical aesthetic; “walking bass”, chromaticism, ternary rhythm, rich and satisfying chords... yes! The oboe can swing too!
