The collection Mime Games, composed in 2014, was written in order to offer young pianists or beginners a working method that is complementary of many others today. It consists in ten progressive exercises that provide readers with both a listening and visual initiation to the piano, as in some sort of musical theatre. In each music piece the pianist’s hand motion refers to the physical behaviour of an animal or insect, hoping that students can thus feel more comfortable with specific technical difficulties written in today’s musical language. Therefore this bestiary can be performed in public – the ten music pieces should be played in chronological order.
